You Are
The Senior Telecommunications Engineer / Technical Advisor serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This position provides senior-level technical and advisory oversight for the design, testing, integration, and sustainment of telecommunications networks and systems across a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in the design, testing, upgrade and integration of new or existing telecommunication networks, systems and equipment in accordance with the organization’s business requirements.
- Plan and lead major technology assignments. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- Work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
- Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of telecommunication networks, systems, and equipment.
- Coordinate changes such as implementation of new telecommunication networks, systems and equipment, upgrades, or version increments to existing telecommunication networks, systems, and equipment with stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard telecommunication networks, systems, and equipment.
- Perform telecommunications modeling, analysis, and planning. Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging telecommunication technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.
- Manage Change Control Board SharePoint site and workflow.
- Provide a wide range of technical and planning expertise to assist senior leadership in shaping and achieving the organization's strategic vision, operational and tactical goals.
