Job Description and Duties

If you are interested in a challenging opportunity in a high-energy, team-oriented environment, you are encouraged to apply.Under the general supervision of the Telecommunications Systems Operations Supervisor I (TSOS I), the Telecommunications Systems Technician II (TST II) is responsible for responding to and resolving public safety communications problems for State Agency clients. The TST will also functionally report to assigned shop lead as required. The duties are performed by following FCC rules and regulations; utilizing at a minimum, office provided training, complex test equipment, computers, hand tools, the Telecommunications Division Manual (TDM), and technical literature. Incumbent will communicate effectively on all written and verbal interactions, frequently interfacing with customers and co-workers to resolve issues and collaborate. The TST II will maintain a professional and team centered environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Incumbent will work proficiently with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Travel to and working in remote locations, high-elevations, and inclement weather conditions may be required.

Working Conditions
DMV Pull Program - Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid California Driver’s License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and / or restrictions.
Travel to locations throughout the state may be required for regular and emergency operations.
Must maintain a residence within 50 miles radius of your assigned shop or at management’s discretion.

Background Investigation : Candidates are required to submit to a background investigation process, including but not limited to Live Scan fingerprinting to obtain Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations clearances.
