Job Title : C.N.A Trainee
Department : Long Term Care
Location : DeMay Living Center or Clifton Springs Nursing Home
Hours Per Week : 40 hrs / week during training
Schedule : Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm during training
SUMMARY :
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to embark on a rewarding career in healthcare. The C.N.A Trainee role is designed to provide the essential training and skills needed to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A). As a trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive training program that prepares you for state certification, setting you on the path to a fulfilling career in long-term care.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Acquire the necessary skills to successfully pass the C.N.A certification in order to transition into the C.N.A role.
- Maintain good standing in the training program; failure to do so may result in termination at the discretion of program leaders.
- Read and follow the resident's care card, engaging with nurses regarding any care plan questions.
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, and ambulating.
- Encourage resident involvement and independence to the greatest extent possible.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' physical conditions, behaviors, and reactions to nursing staff.
- Transport residents throughout the facility as needed.
- Attend required in-service sessions to meet state training hour requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
