Job Functions : IAM Union Mechanic
The Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for the service and repair of terminal refrigeration equipment, including shipping containers, mounted A / C, and gensets, while helping in keeping cargo flowing in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Duties :
- Removal / Replacement / Troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Removal / Replacement / Troubleshooting of Air Conditioning systems
- Tracking / Tracing / Troubleshooting of intermittent issues with terminal refrigeration equipment
- Identifying / Rectifying primary and secondary system malfunctions
- Removal / Replacement / Troubleshooting of diagnostic systems
- Mounting / Dismounting generator using a forklift
- Troubleshooting of generator diesel engines
