A Typical Day :

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) works on web applications that improve Pennymac applications. As the Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) , you will be responsible for automated testing of web UI, APIs, E2E and database applications.

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will :

Define the scope and procedures for quality engineering of the application, including the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using Javascript, Node.js, Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs
Execute backend data-driven tests with Jest, Node.js, automate ETL process
Test APIs for resiliency, latency, and performance across many components
Load, performance, API testing via JMeter or GraphQL
Create logically structured test plans, design detailed test cases, file defects, generate reports
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organizations desired culture and values

What Youll Bring :

Experience in :

Javascript via Visual Studio Code

Testing, debugging REST APIs with Postman and automate with Jest via Node.js

JIRA & Zephyr

Gitlab CI or any other CI / CD tools

Strong understanding of :

Javascript / Node.js, Python, Selenium, and SauceLabs.

SQL database, ability to write SQL queries (PostgreSQL or SQL Server)

Familiar with :

AWS services : Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda

Compensation : Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below :

Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and / or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary : 75,000 - $130,000
