The Compliance Specialist ensures that Servbank’s operations adhere to all applicable federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and policy guidelines, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), FDIC, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA and USDA. The individual must remain current on changes in the mortgage industry and test to ensure proper implementation of those changes to protect the Bank from agency and regulatory violations as well as potential monetary fines and other penalties. The individual is responsible for compliance testing with critical regulations, working with senior managers to ensure proper remediation where necessary, and tracking and retesting action plans when complete.

The Compliance Specialist with be a member of the Servbank Corporate Compliance Testing team. This team is designed to be flexible in their knowledge allowing team members conduct compliance testing for critical or emerging issues that surface, within the company, across all business units. Responsibilities include :

• Maintain legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements of CFPB, FDIC, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, investor, and federal and state regulatory guidelines and procedures.

This position will have a strong focus on customer facing compliance testing, including Customer Care, Customer Resolution (Collections), and Customer Ally (SPOC).

Requirements :

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Education and Experience

BA / BS in Business, Finance, related field preferred or equivalent audit knowledge.

Experienced risk / control / compliance professional with at least 3+ years compliance or auditing experience in residential mortgage servicing, originations, or financial services industry.
