Position : A / V Technician
Program : Special Events
Department : Cultural Arts
Reports to : Technical Events Manager
Compensation : $25.00 per hour
Status : On-Call / Relief, Non-Exempt, Non-Union

JOB SUMMARY : As scheduled and under the general supervision of the Director of Event Operations, provide technical support for special events, performances, and routine rental situations at various Center locations.
of Role ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
85% Event Operations
- Operate lighting and audio / visual equipment for events including theatrical performances, concerts, screenings, memorials, and receptions.
- Set up and break down audio / visual equipment, props, furniture, and scenery.
- Hang and focus theatrical lighting using a light plot; load in / out sound equipment using a sound plot or under Technical Manager direction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues before, during, and after events.
- Run shows and events independently or with stage manager cueing.
- Conduct event setup and breakdown in coordination with Event Managers as needed.
- Provide post-event feedback regarding event execution, equipment performance, and facility use.
