As an Occupational Therapist, Team Leader, you will assist the Director of Therapy in day-to-day operations of a therapy team. This position provides patient care 80%-90% of the work hours. Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care per regulations and professional standards. Administer skilled therapy treatment, track and document therapy treatment, patient performance, progress, and response to care. Assists with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communication to provide adequate coverage for patient treatments .

The Therapy Team Leader helps create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the hospital mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance, and being responsible for the operation of the department, to include measurement, assessment, and continuous improvement. The Team Leader helps staff improve their clinical skills, and overall performance, through staff development and mentoring.

Credentials and Requirements :

Must have a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Virginia.

Master s degree in Occupational Therapy

5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist

Travel Requirements :

Must be able to travel 10% of time to other locations as needed. Locations will include Petersburg and Charlottesville hospitals in VA network.

• General office equipment such as computer / laptop, telephone, copy / fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
• Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
