JOB TITLE : Tool Designer 4

LOCATION : Berkeley, MO

PAY RATE : $62 / hour

Contract Length : 12 months (with potential extension)

Summary :

Lead the development of complex equipment and tooling concepts to meet aerospace design and manufacturing needs.

Oversee design reviews, requirements collection, and drawing creation / revision.

Research and apply robotics, automation, and new technologies to support production.

Develop off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests, and usage instructions.

Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, ergonomic, and regulatory standards.

Establish spare parts requirements and implement best practices for process documentation.

Develop inspection / usage instructions, preventive maintenance plans, and user training.

Provide technical direction for engineering changes and discrepancy resolution.

Manage hardware and software configurations and assess equipment / tooling disposition

Project : KC-135 Fan Duct Tooling

Requirements :

Associate's degree + 6 years of related experience OR

Bachelor's degree + 4 years of related experience OR

8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Proficiency in Catia or another CAD system (e.g., SolidWorks)

Strong blueprint reading ability

Self-directed and independent work capability
