The team will also be performing tolerance studies, and making sure that the models and drawings accurately define a manufacturable product for military development programs.
Experience with industry specifications and in-depth knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is important to ensure all drawings the team completes are accurate, fully dimensioned and in alignment with tolerance studies.
A relevant past, or educational experience in designing, developing, and analyzing complex assemblies in a 3D mechanical drafting environment is required. The candidate would benefit from strong understanding of mechanical principles and demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting models, assemblies, and piece part drawings. An in-depth comprehension of GD&T practices, along with the tolerance analysis of assemblies and piece parts is required.
