NOTE : This is a field position with a superintendent track.
General Purpose : This position is responsible for assisting the Project Management team in the day-to-day responsibilities of new construction, additions and renovation projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Travels to and from job sites
- Assists in overseeing project schedules
- Communicates effectively with Subcontractors and Wehr staff, including Superintendents which this position works closely with
- Attends jobsite meetings, logs and distributes meeting minutes
- Assists in cost control and forecasting project cost
- Maintains knowledge of and participation in submittal review process
- Learns how to effectively utilize Excel and ViewPoint Software programs including job setup and maintaining various updates
- Supports the Superintendent to ensure jobsite quality, cleanliness and safety are upheld
- Learns and coordinates jobsite testing and participation in special inspection prospects
- Maintains a basic understanding of how to read blueprints and specifications
- Maintains a basic understanding of all financial components of a construction project
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position does not have direct reports. This position has limited supervisory responsibilities.
Education and / or Experience : This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university or ; a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Language Skills : This position requires the ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills : This position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability : This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certifications : OSHA-30
License : This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive from job site to job site.

Physical Demands : This position rarely requires, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. This position sometimes requires standing, walking, sitting, the use of hands to finger to handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms. This position frequently requires talking / hearing.
This position frequently requires lifting up to 10 pounds and rarely requires the lifting up to 50 pounds.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with eyes are all important components of this job.
Work Environment : This position rarely requires working in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), working near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock, working with explosives, risk of radiation or vibration, when on the jobsite and working in outdoor weather conditions.
The noise level is considered moderate when in the office (business office with computers and printers) to loud to very loud when on the jobsite.
Additional Information : This position requires the use of the following software programs : Bluebeam, Primavera or Microsoft Project, On-Screen Takeoff, Viewpoint, Building Connected, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, E-Comm, E-Builder, Drop Box or similar program such as ShareFile, New Forma and other digital equipment.
Travel : This position will require travel up to 40% of the time.
