SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the general direction of the Transportation Manager, assists in planning, organizing and coordinating of all aspects of pupil transportation for public and non-public schools including special activities. Assist in the establishment and revision of bus routes; prompt resolution of student transportation problems; coordination of student transportation programs; assists with the preparation of current and long-range student transportation plan. Performs other related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Associates degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations and transportation, working with scheduling, routing and safe operation of buses for a large school system, with at least one (1) year supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license in order to operate motor vehicle in the State of Connecticut.
SCOPE OF EXAMINATION : There will not be a written examination. Qualified applicants will be ranked according to their education, training, and experience. Applicants are required to fully complete the application and supplement, listing all related degrees, training, and work experience.
