Your Role

They may oversee the entire design process, serve as a Task Lead or assist as a technical expert on a specialized design. The Project Engineer will develop plans and reports for transportation projects according to established engineering standards and local, state or federal policies and requirements.

• Perform Geometric Design of Roadways, Roadway Hydrology and Hydraulics, Signage and Pavement Markings design, and Traffic Control Plan development.
• Manage and prepare engineering studies, schematic design and final design of highways, intersections, and roadways including plans, specifications and estimates;
• Assess the requirements of a project, and work with the Project Manager to determine scope of work, budget and staffing needs;
• Write a scope of work for transportation design services based on preliminary review and meetings with the client
• Direct, assign, and review work of project design team. Coordinate all aspects of project documentation within company and externally with clients;
• Assures that the firm's QA / QC procedures are followed and met
• Manage and mentor junior staff;
• Assist in identifying potential work and teaming opportunities
