Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a highly motivated Transportation Design Manager with 15+ years of experience working on mid-size to large roadway / highway / bridge design projects. This position will join our growing Programs and Construction Management (PMCM) team and be located in Nashville, TN. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to support the implementation of Nashville's Choose How You Move Transportation Program. This is an excellent opportunity to pursue and manage progressive engineering projects of varying scale and complexity in Nashville and throughout Tennessee. You will oversee technical employees, work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management. Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services
- Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives. Manage contract tasks, track, and manage costs and schedule, and implement measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Contribute to initiatives to help advance our project design, operations, and business development
- Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider
- Lead by example with active support of internal policies and practices, including risk management, project management, and quality management
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards
- Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader
- Grow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec reputation and identify additional talent to join our team
- Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities
- Establish, maintain, and promote partnerships in project pursuits
