Key Functions

• Transportation of patients to and from appointmentsSafely transport passengers to and from medical and non-medical appointments, airports, and other destinations as assigned.Communicate effectively with patients and the care team to ensure efficient scheduling and coordination of pickup and drop offs. Significant role in planning and coordination of transportation services across multiple departments.Ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Patient safetyEnsure passengers are protected from harm, abuse, self-abuse, neglect, sexual incidents, serious injuries, and other sources of immediate danger.Recognize and plan for problematic behaviors in a therapeutic and safe manner.Communicate any concerns to the care team in a timely manner.Adhere to all traffic rules and company policies.
• Customer ServiceProvide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and their loved ones. Compassionate and patient-centered approach, displaying an understanding towards passengers' needs.
• Protect confidentiality and privacyProtect the confidentiality of patients / clients. Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with the company’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
• Participate in teamworkAccept delegated assignments.Be the liaison between the Access Center and all the Menninger programs.Willing to adjust work schedule and / or hours to meet business needs.
• Perform other duties when needed

Education : Required : High School Diploma.

License / Certification : Required : Valid driver’s license issued by the state of Texas.

CPR (AHA certification accepted) and MANDT training (will be provided upon hire)

Experience :

Required : 2 years of client transportation experience in a concierge or healthcare setting.

Preferred : Knowledge and experience with dispatch procedures.
