Job description

Commercial Roofing Superintendent

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
Travel: 30%–100% throughout TX, OK, NM & AR

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial roofing projects throughout the region. This position will lead foremen, crews, and subcontractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to quality standards.

Commercial roofing experience is required. Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple commercial roofing projects.
  • Lead and support foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, and project schedules.
  • Monitor production, labor hours, material usage, and overall project progress.
  • Enforce company safety standards and conduct jobsite safety inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Perform quality inspections and ensure roofing systems are installed according to manufacturer and project specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and office personnel.
  • Maintain accurate daily project reports, job documentation, RFIs, change orders, and project updates.
  • Serve as an on-site contact for customers and provide professional project updates.
  • Participate in manufacturer inspections and ensure projects meet warranty requirements.
  • Identify training needs and mentor field personnel on proper installation, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience at the Foreman, Superintendent, or similar field leadership level.
  • Strong experience with commercial reroofing, recover systems, and full tear-offs.
  • Knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems.
  • Experience managing both in-house crews and subcontractors.
  • Experience overseeing commercial projects ranging from approximately $10K to $1M.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing safety and quality-control procedures.
  • Ability to identify installation issues, train crews on approved methods, and correct deficiencies in the field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, and work in active construction environments.
  • Flexibility to travel 30%–100% depending on project needs throughout Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas.
