As a Traveling Superintendent , you will manage all on-site activities for federal and government construction projects , ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within scope. Your expertise in managing diverse teams, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and adhering to federal requirements will be critical to project success.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and crews.
Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, federal standards, and project specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and government representatives to align on project goals and expectations.
Monitor progress against schedules and budgets, proactively addressing any issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Oversee quality assurance and ensure all deliverables meet federal and contractual requirements.
Maintain detailed documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and compliance records.
Travel to various job sites across the region or country, as project demands require.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or degree preferred.
7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in federal, government, or public-sector construction projects.
Strong knowledge of federal contracting processes, including FAR and DFARS regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on complex, large-scale projects.
Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project).
OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of federal safety standards.
Ability to travel extensively and work on-site for extended durations.
