We are launching people to the moon and mars. If you want to be part of this amazing mission and enjoy working in a great team environment, we would love to have you as part of our team that is making history, today. It takes big ideas and determination to take NASA's vision and make it reality. That's what we do every day.
The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
The Launch Control Systems team is responsible for designing, building, and testing the software, hardware and networking systems that will be used to launch the next generation rocket for NASA. As part of the Triage team, you will be responsible for system analysis, troubleshooting and testing of the next launch control system to launch NASA astronauts into space.
The Launch Control System is a large scale, multi-user, server-based system. It is comprised of hardware, networks, firewalls, multiple operating systems, and applications. The triage team is responsible for troubleshooting problems, providing corrective action recommendations, and supporting the operational performance of the system.
The Triage team member will provide troubleshooting expertise in a server based multi-user environment called the Launch Control System (LCS). They will attempt to duplicate problems and define root causes, using product designs, code, or specifications. They will be comfortable working in all functions of a large-scale IT system, booting, memory management, loading and execution, user interface and process management. Should be familiar with interpreting Core files, log files, event monitoring, system messages and other operating parameters.
