Duties and Responsibilities :

• Obtains history and gathers triage information to determine appropriate avenue for care.
• Verifies patient insurance eligibility and identifies primary care physician.
• Relays triage information and facilitates communication between the provider and the patient
• Based on assessment, assists physician or APP to determine appropriate care
• Provides patient education relative to health care needs
• Provides telephone advice according to established guidelines and protocols.
• Develops telephone triage guidelines as needed.

The position would include : admitting patients into preop, obtaining consents, establishing IV, patient education regarding procedure and discharge instructions, and recovering a patient directly from surgery. You will work closely with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other team members
