Local Trucking Operations Manager - Denver Division

Company Overview : Diversified Transfer & Storage (DTS) is a successful family-owned company with over 30 years of experience. We are growing and need motivated individuals to join our team!

Position Overview : Assist the management team in optimizing daily activities at our Denver Division, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends. Maintain office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees-support company operations by maintaining office systems and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Review : Assist in reviewing applications and resumes for Denver personnel, sorting for the best applicants, and involving other managers or supervisors in decision-making.

Office Services : Organize office operations and procedures, approve hours for payroll, control correspondence, design filing systems, review and approve supply requisitions, and assign and monitor clerical functions.

Policy Implementation : Establish standards and procedures, measure results against standards, and make necessary adjustments.

Scheduling : Schedule personnel and keep them on task.

Staff Development : Develop expertise and professionalism among staff using positive influence strategies.

Problem Solving : Actively seek participation in solving problems and making decisions.

Qualifications :

Multi-tasking : Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and work well with others.

Experience : Proven experience in office management and staff supervision.

Skills : Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education : A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree or additional certification in management is a plus.
