Overview
We're looking for a self-motivated team player to join us in creating designs and documentation for our mobile applications. An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced collaborative environment and gets the big picture without getting lost in the weeds. We're a growing team. There's no need to know everything off the bat but you will need to be willing to learn fast on the go. As part of the design team, you will also partner regularly with senior designers, engineering, QA, and other stakeholders. Strong collaborative and communication skills are essential for success. We also place a strong focus on documentation and any potential candidate should be comfortable in creating and maintaining many different design artifacts. As a design team, we try our best to strike a balance between creating user-centered designs and being mindful of other product needs such as customer requirements, engineering constraints, and time to market. An ideal candidate should know how to pick and choose their battles and fight for the most impactful features and designs.
Responsibilities
You will :
- Define user flows, storyboards, wireframes and detailed visual specifications to describe the user experience and communicate with peers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions and create conceptual sketches or wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
- Draft and maintain content including visual assets, interface language, product education materials, navigational nomenclature and other content throughout application experiences.
- Partner with PMs, designers, engineers, QA, researchers and strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch (and then some).
- Use business requirements, market research and customer feedback to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements for mobile experiences.
- Present design ideas and assets as needed to peers and project stakeholders and incorporate feedback into the design. Take initiative and speak up if you have ideas or see processes or designs that could be improved. Advocate for new and emerging technologies and platforms by maintaining strong interest in new mobile technologies and platforms.
- Advance innovative design by developing intuitive user flow diagrams, wireframes and visual interfaces and iterate based on metrics and user insights.
