Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation.
Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and / or service prior to performing exam.
Prepare patient for imaging.
Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to : performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair
Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.
Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB / Gyn specialties at minimum.
BLS - Basic Life Support.
Requires 5+ years experience
Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria
Require ARDMS in Abdominal and OB / GYN Sonography.
Requires previous ultrasound experience
BLS Certification
Graduated from a CAHEEP accredited ultrasound program?
Requires (2-5) years UCSF experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent exp
Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
