SUMMARY
As an Ultrasound Imaging Technician, you will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and assist in the daily operations of the ultrasound department. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians during interventional procedures and manage the scheduling of add-on examinations. You will adhere to the professional and ethical standards set by the American Association of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

STATUS : Full Time
LOCATION : Canton Potsdam Hospital
DEPARTMENT : Imaging
SCHEDULE : 12-hour shifts on weekends, 6 : 30 AM - 7 : 00 PM, Friday through Sunday
ATTRIBUTES
Graduation from an accredited U.S. program is required, with current registration with ARDMS or registry eligibility, as well as a current BLS certification.
Fluency in performing ultrasound scans in various areas including OB / GYN, Breast, Venous, Arterial, Abdomen, Pelvis, Soft tissue, Transvaginal, and Interventional procedures.
Availability to work holidays per the hospital schedule.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong focus on customer service and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.
Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience in multiple exam types (OB, Venous, Arterial, Abdomen, Breast, and Interventional procedures). Clinical experience acquired during training is acceptable.
Preferred : 2-3 years of experience in a variety of ultrasound examinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional patient care during ultrasound examinations.
Maintain departmental equipment by adhering to OEM guidelines and promptly reporting any issues to the department Manager and Biomed.
Follow infection control and safety protocols, including universal precautions and isolation procedures, reporting any concerns to the departmental Manager.
Engage in departmental performance improvement initiatives and complete all required annual training and competencies.
Demonstrate commitment to personal professional development through participation in continuing education opportunities.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

PAY RANGE : 36.72 - $54.10
The listed base pay range represents the current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. This may change in the future and may be eligible for additional pay components. Pay determination considers factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
