Job descriptionExamines blueprints and determines dimensions of structure. Layout and construct light gauge metal framing. Hang, tape, finish and sand new drywall. Layout and install acoustical ceiling grid. Install acoustical ceiling tile. Install ceramic title. Other duties as assigned This position is located overseas. A combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner These are the typical years of experience required for this job. Current Fluor employees may be considered for this position either sooner or later, depending on individual performance, potential, and job availability. This applies to all jobs across all functions. High school graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program for a journeyman carpenter with eight (8) years of experience in trade and building maintenance. Must have knowledge of PM programs. Possess practical knowledge of repairs, installation of floor and ceiling tile, walls (plaster, block, drywall), masonry work, locksmithing, cabinet making, framing, form work and general knowledge of the painting trade. Must be able to operate small power tools and machinery as required. Must read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints. Must possess leadership skills. Must possess the skills and attitudes to effectively communicate with the customer and subordinates. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Possess an active Secret clearance or higher.
