Job descriptionHigh school graduate or equivalent required Completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred but not mandatory Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification is required upon hire Completion of classroom education on Nurse Aide competencies within the introductory orientation period and maintaining clinical competency during employment Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required upon hire or must be obtained within the introductory orientation period Ability to read and communicate effectively in English Basic computer skills are necessary Provide patient care that meets their physical and psychosocial needs within the nursing assistant's scope of practice Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients Communicate any changes in patient status to the RN or LPN, notifying licensed personnel of pain complaints Collect, report, and assist in documentation of patient data Perform patient care activities in a safe environment that promotes positive outcomes Demonstrate flexibility and organization while functioning under stress Maintain clear communication with the team leader, coworkers, and healthcare team members Transport patients safely to other departments as needed Perform assigned duties including removal of saline locks, Foley catheters, pulse oximetry, telemetry application, EKGs, glucose meter testing, and recording of nasogastric drainage

POSITION SUMMARY :
As a Nurse Assistant, you will assist patients with their basic needs and daily living activities under the guidance of an RN or LPN. You will also enhance collaboration and coordination of care, ensuring accurate and compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members at all times. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment and keeping accurate medical records while reporting directly to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
