GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIESProvide a comprehensive counseling program and services to meet the needs of The Classical Academys full-time K-6 and Cottage School Program with teachers staff and parents to enhance the effectiveness in helping students; and to provide support to other elementary education barriers that limit a student from receiving full benefit from their educational to referrals from school administration parents teachers the Student Support Team the Special Education Committee and others by providing direct services and by assisting families in accessing appropriate community resourcesWork with Tier 2 and Tier 3 RtI interventions and facilitate support groups throughout the students with behavioral and mental health needs and support teachers with data collection regarding intervention collaboration with other service providers to develop behavior plans or identify other needs of 504 process and consult on 504 accommodationsORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPReports directly to the Building Principal The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non-essential or marginal duties that may be required. The description may not include all functions performed by incumbents in various Classical Academy reserves the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of this job at any JOB FUNCTIONSAssist students in the areas of emotional and social developmentParticipate as an active member of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Crisis TeamCoordinate 504 plans across all assigned with faculty staff and parents to better understand and meet the needs of all individual and small group counseling toward social and emotional competency through RTI or Special Education intervention appropriate referrals of students and parents to outside agencies and specialists when a visible body in the school by participating in a variety of school and student body activitiesAssist in transition to junior high and high schoolContinually plan evaluate and revise the counseling program.
