Your Impact :
Pearce / Unified is seeking a Senior Critical Power Field Technician (UPS Field Engineer) for Southern California with a commitment to excellence, strong desire to succeed and learn new skills. As a Critical Power Technician, you will directly support our customers in the onsite preventive, corrective and restorative maintenance of their critical power systems (i.e., UPS, DC systems, inverters, PDUs, STS, and standalone reserve battery technologies). As a Senior UPS Field Service Engineer for Unified Power, you will possess and utilize the hit-the-ground running and think-outside-of-the-box mentalities that drive swift and superb solutions that address our customer needs.
Core Responsibilities :
- Install electrical equipment such as small rack mounted UPS equipment, various size batteries, UPS / Battery monitoring equipment
- Maintain Battery Cabinets and racks, Maintenance Bypass', Battery Monitoring Equipment, DC Systems and other electrical equipment.
- Periodic and lifecycle-driven performance of remedial services, including failure analysis and troubleshooting, component replacements and repairs, and battery string replacements and installations
- Customer relationship building - provide excellent customer service; upsell products.
- Field troubleshooting calls from customers to satisfactory resolution.
- Quickly respond to critical situations.
- Teach and mentor crew members on proper techniques for site work, troubleshooting, repair and analyzing site data.
- Isolate basic hardware, software, and interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies.
- Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Compensation : $35 -$ 45 depending on experience
