We are currently looking for a Production Planner and Scheduler for our Cudahy, Wisconsin facility. As a Production Planner and Scheduler, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and be accountable for the scheduling, planning, accuracy, and timeliness of production. You'll work collaboratively Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping / Receiving departments in driving efficiencies and increased effectiveness in meeting production goals through careful review of capacity and scheduling of production to ensure optimal production levels. A successful Production Planner is a thought leader and is instrumental in helping ensure we are meeting goals and objectives to continue our growth and meet customer expectations. A successful Production Planner will provide immediate impact and will have to quickly come up to speed with our quality system, customers, and products.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Support department level scheduling by setting priorities, tracking status, and delivering timely information to engineering, operations, quality, and purchasing
- Responsible for the effective sequencing of jobs, processes, and assignments to individual work centers
- Release jobs to the operations group at the appropriate time based on schedule requirements
- Track inventory levels and delivery schedules to ensure continuous production of major programs
- Closely monitor progress and report out to management on the status of all new product development, R&D, and production jobs.
- Monitor material flow and identify any bottlenecks in the process; troubleshoot issues to the root-cause and implement corrective actions
- Support customer communication by providing accurate and timely information and reports to the management team
- Generate capacity, on-time delivery, and production reports in support of management team
- Be the primary interface between shop floor supervisors and the plant leadership team
- Manage and coordinate all production meetings
- Utilize our ERP to schedule jobs
