Job Description
This roles’ primary aim is to lead the US Logistics Decarbonization Planning efforts. Analyze and describe current and future US opportunity on low and zero emission technology, fuel production capability and distribution network, and policy landscape as it effects our ability to meet future Transport Decarbonization goals.
Major / Key Accountabilities
Analyzes and describes the current and future US opportunity on low and zero emissions transportation technology and fuels (production capacity and distribution network)
Maintains market by market view of ROI (return on investment) and TCO (total cost of ownership) of different low and zero emissions transport technologies.
Analyzes risk levels to meeting yearly US Logistics Decarbonization goals.
Keep up to date with the latest legislation and upcoming policy landscape regarding US sustainability and climate-related requirements and evaluate the potential impact on the US supply chain.
Investigate and understand the latest technological developments related to transport decarbonization and evaluate the application and potential benefit to our US supply chain, including opportunities to access decarbonization funding for CHEP and / or our carrier partners.
Actively participated in industry coalitions and initiatives of which CHEP is a member, including Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance, World Economic Forum, Road Freight Zero and others.
Reviews relevant industry trends : Utilizes Bloomberg, or like, summarized information for forward view.
Works closely with Decarbonization Strategy and Program Manager to assess opportunities for growth.
Provides US and Global leadership with quarterly updates.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Management, Sustainability or similar is required.
Three to five years of working experience in a Supply Chain type organization
Desirable Qualifications
Green Belt
Sustainability / Climate Change
Advanced degree in Sustainability, Supply chain or other
Experience
Proven knowledge and experience related to transport decarbonization projects
Proven track record of management of complex projects
Engagement and collaboration programs with industry leaders in sustainability (decarbonization)
Active participation in industry-led regional or global logistics decarbonization initiatives, e.g., World Economic Forum Road Freight Zero, Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance, etc.
Expertise in carbon accounting in line with US and internationally recognized standards
Skills and Knowledge
Decarbonization knowledge and carbon accounting
Excellent organizational, analysis, and problem-solving skills including applying analysis and statistical methods to study complex and unique business issues.
Strong interpersonal, presentational, and networking skills
Proven ability to lead or oversee financial modeling.
Experience with logistics and supply chain industries
Experience in network analyses within sustainability
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Understanding of the regulatory environment in the US as it relates to decarbonization and the transport sector
Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and results-oriented
Languages Essential : English
