Senior User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) Consultant
The primary responsibility of a Sr. UI / UX consultant is to lead the design of user interfaces and user experiences for our products, ensuring they are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand identity. A UI / UX Consultant may perform, but not limited to the following work :
1. Create a brand identify (including logos) consistent with the constraints set upon by the larger organization.
2. Conduct user research, user testing, and gather feedback to understand user needs and behaviors.
3. Establish guidelines for the use of the brand identity across all marketing materials, including digital platforms, print materials, and presentations.
4. Make thoughtful and innovative design decisions with LADWP stakeholders, designers, researchers, engineers, producers, copywriters, and other functions.
5. Utilize, expand, document, and create new patterns within our vast design system while considering the big picture.
6. Realistically communicate your design's page flows, animations, and other interactive elements to stakeholders and engineering.
7. Seamlessly infuse LADWP's brand identity, visuals, and tone of voice into all digital communications including email campaigns, seasonal, evergreen, and core digital content.
8. Produce design documentation and work with the engineering team to implement it assuring the final product matches your specifications.
9. Present creative vision, concepts, and completed designs to leadership, stakeholders, and peers.
10. Engage in creative brainstorming within a highly collaborative setting, simplifying intricate requirements into elegant design solutions, producing key art, and iterating from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
11. Collaborate with LADWP stakeholders to test designs with real users.
