What You'll Do Primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise and supporting Materials Testing staff within a branch. Responsibilities include performing the following at the office level : Overseeing projects Performing technical report reviews Preparing and reviewing proposals Assisting with management of the department and P&L Business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions Responsibilities may include work at a regional level. Responsibilities also include leading and coaching junior Materials Testing staff members. What We're Looking For BS or MS in Civil Engineering preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education. A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience (with BS or MS in Civil Engineering) or 12 years relevant experience (without BS or MS in Civil Engineering.) Professional Engineer (P.E.) or in lieu of P.E., Materials Testing Principals must hold both of the following : At least one active master-level certification such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Building Operator (CBO), Master Special Inspector (MSI), or Master Code Professional (MCP). And at least three active advanced certifications such as Post Tension Inspector Level II (PTI), ACI Concrete Anchor Installation Inspection, ACI Non-Destructive Testing, ACI Shotcrete Inspection, Federal- or State-level GQ Certification, NICET Level IV in Asphalt, Concrete, Soils, Highway Construction, or ICC Certified Building Official. State-specific certifications such as advanced DOT may be considered depending on jurisdiction. If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.
