The Front of House area at the College of Performing Arts (CoPA) at The New School seeks a highly motivated student to serve as an Usher. The Front of House Department is responsible for the patron experience at on-site events. We are looking for responsible, personable, communicative, and punctual individuals. The usher reports to the Manager of Event Operations and is an ideal position for students interested in a career in performing arts, events, and production.This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.The New School is strongly committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and particularly seeks applications from members of underrepresented groups, as well as candidates who share this commitment. Work Mode : On-Campus Position, nights and weekends required Hourly Rate : $16 Hours per Week : 20 (maximum) Responsibilities
- Greet patrons and answer questions
- Distribute printed programs to patrons
- Assist patrons in finding their seats
- Check in patrons using our app-based check-in system
- Execute stage changes for classical recitals when assigned
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
