We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at MUSC Community Physicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily routine and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the Physician, ensuring the production of vascular scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Vascular Sonography exams, including 2D scans, Duplex imaging, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI), and Doppler studies. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams. Additionally, they will be dependable, accountable, and cooperative, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a High school diploma or GED, with an Associate's Degree from a two-year allied health education program preferred. They must also have a minimum of two years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, with 2-4 years of experience in Vascular Sonography desired. Required certifications include RVT (ARDMS), RVS (CCI), or RT(VS) (ARRT), along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).

Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to lift 20-50 lbs, perform prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and repetitive motion activities, and interact with computers for prolonged periods. Mental / sensory requirements include strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading comprehension, logical thinking, and vision. Emotional requirements include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to frequent change, handle multiple priorities, and interact with customers in a noisy environment.
