Position Description

As Business Unit Technology Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IT suppliers supporting a specific Service Area within McKesson Technology, ensuring that each partnership aligns with their business objectives and contributes positively to their operations.

You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy and managing and monitoring performance for this subset of suppliers, aligned with the overall direction and supplier framework for all key McKesson Technology suppliers. Although your focus will be in one or more specific Service Area(s), it is critical to take a holistic view of McKesson Technology suppliers, and where a Service Area has the most spend / criticality with one supplier, you will lead the enterprise viewpoint across all Service Areas for that supplier. This evolving position will be a trusted advisor across the enterprise, to educate and enable teams to make the best-informed sourcing decisions to ensure McKesson Technology receives optimal value from our vendor partners.

The role will report to the IT Vendor Relationship Management Director, Enterprise IT Vendor Management Office (VMO). This role is part of a larger Vendor Management Office that is being created to provide ongoing governance, oversight, and management of McKesson Technology’s strategic 3rd parties.

This role will be a key relationship position and primary liaison between our IT vendor partners and our delivery teams (Service Areas) within McKesson Technology.

This role requires a leader who can collaborate with senior McKesson executives, aligning IT Vendor Management strategies with broader corporate objectives and driving the improvement of service quality and process efficiency. Additionally, the Manager will ensure strict adherence to internal policies, contractual commitments, and regulatory requirements, enforcing governance standards across all third-party engagements.

The successful candidate will possess energy, create enthusiasm for advancing the strategic sourcing strategy, and execute the strategy with each service provider.

This Manager will have some level of oversight of external third-party providers, and will lead initiatives that promote collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence while ensuring McKesson maximizes the value from its IT vendor partnerships.
