Java House is a vibrant and welcoming café dedicated to providing exceptional service and a cozy atmosphere for our customers. We are seeking a diligent and reliable Facility Manager to join our team and help maintain our high standards of cleanliness and functionality. This skilled Facility Manager is to oversee the facility maintenance across 12+ cafes and will oversee and perform the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and ice machines. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and experience in preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Additionally, this candidate will manage other facets of each cafe's facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Facility Maintenance : Oversee the maintenance and repair of all 12+ café locations, including refrigeration HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, all café equipment and general upkeep. Tasks may include but are not limited to :

• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and ice machines to identify potential issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to avoid equipment breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC, refrigeration, and ice machines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment
• Coordinate with district manager and café managers to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Inventory Management : Keep track of cleaning supplies, spare parts, maintenance equipment, and other inventory items. This would include replenishing supplies as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Oversee general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of storage areas and maintenance workshops.
• Monitor and manage waste disposal and recycling programs.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining security systems and protocols.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Conducting regular inspections and general maintenance on unique equipment specific to our cafes :
• MOD bar steam units (steam units to get our coffee drinks hot)
• RO water systems
• Nitro Generator
• Basic repairs and PMs of tap systems, Nitro Generator, air / product lines, Hobart dishwashers, hot tap towers, RO water systems, MOD bar, steam wands, kegs, and furniture.
• Loading and delivering furniture, refrigeration and equipment. This would include storing items during seasonal changes.
• List and sell furniture and or equipment.
