Description
Summary:
The Capital Advisor III is the primary advisor responsible for delivering customized and complex credit solutions to Huntington Private Bank clients partnering directly with their full team of advisors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for both existing and new clients for all complex lending opportunities.
- Partner directly with current advisors to tailor creative solutions to meet our clients' capital needs.
- Develop financing solutions/ loan programs that align with core business growth objectives and our low to moderate risk appetite.
- Partner with derivatives team to provide interest rate solutions necessary for large complex transactions.
- Deepen relationships by collaborating with client teams and identifying opportunities to provide complex credit solutions.
- Maintain responsibility for the existing commercial book of business by: (1) monitoring all credit portfolio needs and clean desk metrics, (2) improving credit portfolio pricing and risk profile, and (3) maintaining all compliance and credit administration processes and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 10 years of commercial credit experience
- Must have knowledge and experience working with wealth management clients and a sound understanding of banking, investment management, trust, and estate planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work well within a team-based environment and be aligned on common goals.
- Experience and proven success working within a wealth management team. Sound understanding of client profiling and discovery, while being able to drive a consistent client experience.
- Strong analytical skills including complex underwriting and documentation needs.
- Ability to structure transactions that mitigate credit risk and maintain prudent loan structures.
- Understanding of necessary documentation and ability to partner with legal counsel when necessary.
- Experience identifying opportunities outside of credit transactions to provide introductions to key partners and deepen overall client relationship.
