A well-capitalized, vertically integrated commercial real estate investment firm is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Capital Markets. This senior leadership role partners closely with executive management to oversee the firm's capital structure, lender and investor relationships, and financing strategy across a growing portfolio of development and investment assets.
The position offers meaningful visibility with ownership and the opportunity to play a key role in capital formation, debt placement, and investor communications. For the right candidate, there is also potential to originate and manage third-party debt transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the firm's investment capital stack, including refinances, recapitalizations, and restructurings
Maintain and expand lender and investor relationships
Lead debt placement efforts across banks, life companies, CMBS, and debt funds
Evaluate financing structures and negotiate term sheets
Manage investor communications, reporting, and capital raising initiatives
Lead loan closings in coordination with legal and internal teams
Originate and manage third-party debt transactions, as applicable
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, or related field
5+ years of experience in commercial mortgage banking or capital markets
Experience with retail, mixed-use, and ground-up development preferred
Proven success in investor relations and deal origination
Strong financial modeling skills and executive-level communication abilities
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
