POSITION SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE :
The incumbent learns to work efficiently / effectively in the areas of installation, relocation, and maintenance of building HVAC equipment and systems. S / he provides stable and dependable service, while developing trade-specific skills that will translate to additional opportunities and advancement within the Company.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists in the diagnosis of malfunctions of HVAC equipment / systems / components for the purpose of identifying repair, replacement, and maintenance needs.
- Participates in the ACCA apprenticeship 3-year training program, as well as in-house training related to the performance of daily job responsibilities.
- Under supervision, assembles pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Partners with SMEs to review blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
- Develops safe working habits by adhering to all Company safety rules and regulations.
- Utilizes proper PPE at all times, in adherence to Company policy and other project standards.
- Actively learns and obtains job-related information via observation and direction from supervision.
- Collaborates with supervision to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work tasks, and meet both daily and weekly schedules.
- Assists Service Technicians with HVAC diagnostic equipment to identify systems issues.
