Rosemeade Veterinary Clinic -

Rosemeade Veterinary Clinic is currently looking for a veterinary assistant / technician. Candidates must be team-oriented, punctual, self-motivated, friendly, and have a positive attitude. RVC is a single doctor practice with in-house lab capabilities including ProCyte DX, Catalyst, and an in-house pharmacy. Cornerstone Practice Management software knowledge a plus. We also use digital CR X-ray, therapeutic laser, dental equipment and have a small boarding kennel.

Qualifications :

• At least 1 to 2 years clinical experience in a companion animal hospital as a veterinary assistant is required
• Skilled in most of the following-anesthetic administration and monitoring; radiology; blood, fecal, and urine sample collection; IV catheter placement; cytology slide preparation; basic fluid therapy; monitoring / treatment of hospitalized patients; surgery prep and dentistry; obtaining a proper medical history including vitals; proper holding techniques; administering medication and treatments; pharmacy duties; in-house laboratory testing; communication with referring veterinarians.
• Possess a solid work history with exemplary attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work Saturday mornings
• Live within a commutable distance with reliable transportation

Our assistants / technicians are also responsible for tracking inventory, handling medical records, hospital cleanliness, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be proficient in verbal and written communication skills and possess basic computer literacy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who steps up without being asked. Excellent clinic / client rapport is a must.

You must be able to work Saturdays 9 - noon; full-time employees receive a half-day off during the week.
