The Surgery Department is looking for an Experienced Technician to join their team. Do you want to work in an interesting environment and learn new skills? We will train the right person everything they need to know!

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service while working with doctors and shift leadership to address patient care needs. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform quality work within the scope of the mission and purpose statement of Central Texas Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital.
- Work effectively and independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
- Commit to providing excellent high-quality care to patients and clients.
- Assist in the recovery of post-operative patients by monitoring vitals, pain levels, activity, cleanliness, and treatments.
- Prepare, verify, and explain medications for patients being discharged.
- Coordinate baths and clean-ups for patients before release.
- Monitor and respond to client messages on patient care.
- Provide general nursing care and comfort to patients in the treatment room.
- Coordinate client visits during visiting hours and provide updates on patient conditions during visits.
- Handle phone calls for clients having problems with patients at home when a doctor is unavailable.
- Perform daily post-op follow-up recalls.
- Perform computer entries, invoicing, prescriptions, etc.
- Be consistently punctual and ready to work at the start of each shift.
