Responsibilities :
- Out-patient duties including : taking accurate history and patient vitals; facilitating visits by reviewing the medical record and anticipating equipment and supplies needed for treatments; compassionate restraint of dogs and cats; administering vaccinations; venipuncture; filling initial and prescriptions; discussing medications and treatment plans with pet families, triaging emergencies
- Diagnostics : preparing samples for in-house bloodwork, urine, and fecal analysis; preparing samples for reference lab analysis; taking radiographs safely using proper technique; assisting with ultrasounds
- Cleaning : helping maintain general cleanliness of the hospital, using proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization protocols
- Documentation : keeping accurate and detailed records about patients and client interaction in Practice Management System (AVImark)
- Communication : maintaining excellent lines of communication with clients, CSRs, other technicians, management, and doctors
- Other : assisting in all other areas of the hospital as needed
