Description : Purpose :
Manage the credit union’s marketing initiatives and financial literacy efforts. Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with community partners, civic partners, university sponsorship partners, and members. Represent the credit union at community, civic, and university partner events. Work with all team members to foster a positive public relations image in our service area, with the goal to result in new accounts for the credit union.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in implementing the Marketing Strategic Plan and the budget to support organizational goals in membership growth, product penetration, and community involvement.
- Oversee the day-to-day marketing department functions and communicate updates to the CMO.
- Manage the marketing department team members.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the Financial Literacy Advocate.
- Identify opportunities and initiate activities to market EFCU Financial services to potential member groups / members.
- Develop and deliver professional presentations promoting EFCU Financial at community events, sponsored events for local civic organizations, and school events including universities and other higher learning institutions.
- Develop and implement youth and young adult programs / projects to increase EFCU Financial’s youth / young adult market penetration. Identify local and national initiatives and partnerships to benefit youth marketing efforts.
- Represent EFCU Financial at civic and trade functions. Be involved in the community by attending functions, by networking and by volunteering to promote the credit union’s image as a community partner. Promote EFCU Financial team member involvement in these activities as appropriate. Recommend appropriate credit union sponsorships and advertising to enhance community involvement.
- Manage the credit union’s community sponsorship opportunities and work with the marketing team to provide materials and promotional items. Coordinate team member participation at sponsored events.
- Seek out financial literacy opportunities and work with Financial Literacy Advocate on presentation materials and delivery of the materials. Provide support needed to facilitate all financial education efforts.
- Communicate all marketing roll outs and event information internally. Submit end-of-month summaries to CMO.
- Provide feedback to CMO regarding sponsor group or member concerns, quality issues and product acceptance. Recommend solutions to problems, product enhancements and operational changes when applicable.
- Create and distribute a weekly communication to highlight recent employee success stories to all staff.
- Maintain an Outlook Calendar denoting all events attending out of the office.
- Manage monthly Employee Giving campaign and all other donation requests.
- Any other duty as assigned or required in connection with the general operation of the Credit Union.
