Title : Vice President, Procurement
Location : Remote - Denver-, Dallas- or Central Time Zone-based preferred
Schedule : Mon - Fri Days
Compensation : $175k - $190k target base salary + 30% bonus potential + Stock Appreciation Rights Benefits : Comprehensive benefits - eligible after 30 days. Position Description :
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Procurement will spearhead the creation and implementation of the organization's procurement strategies. This role includes optimizing procurement processes, overseeing global supply partners, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient resource management to achieve operational excellence and cost savings. Additionally, the Vice President of Procurement develops and implements strategic sourcing strategies to drive procurement planning and execution. These efforts support sustainable growth and enhance the organization's market position. With a track record of 20% Year over Year growth, company plans on 5X growth within 5 years.
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans by interpreting industry trends, customer requirements and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to mitigate potential supply disruptions.
- Analyze data to drive decision-making and improve overall effectiveness including the use of advanced digital technologies.
- Foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers through active collaboration to achieve business goals.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate internally and externally to drive cost reduction and contract execution.
- Perform on-site assessments and utilize in-depth research and analysis to evaluate potential suppliers based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and past performance.
- Ensure compliance with customs, environmental and storage requirements.
- Establish a world class material management and tracking process.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train department staff. Current team includes 2 Procurement Directors, a Purchasing Manager, Buyer and an Apprentice.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department through a continuous improvement approach.
- Perform constructive and timely personnel development conversations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
