Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Production Manager to enhance our dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing the entire video production process from conception to completion, ensuring the creation of engaging and high-quality video content that resonates with our brand ethos. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including ideation, shoot coordination, post-production editing, and final product delivery.

The successful candidate will possess a robust background in video production, with experience in e-commerce or fashion being a significant advantage. They should be capable of producing both short and long-form content tailored for digital platforms and social media. Importantly, this role demands not only hands-on engagement but also strategic judgment to determine when additional expertise is needed. The Video Production Manager should be knowledgeable enough to recognize when to augment the team with specialized contractors to meet project demands and maintain high production standards.

Collaboration is key in this role. The Video Production Manager will work closely with Art Directors & The Senior Director of Digital Assets to ensure a cohesive vision and successful end product. This partnership will facilitate the seamless integration of artistic direction with technical production to enhance storytelling and brand representation.

This position involves occasional travel to various locations for content capture and to support editorial shoots, enhancing the breadth and quality of our visual storytelling

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production on video shoots, including considerations for location, participants, audio, and props.
  • Edit short-form and long-form content for digital platforms and social media.
  • Work with the digital marketing team to optimize content performance.
  • Manage post-production workflow from ingesting, transcoding, editing, grading, compression, exporting, and final delivery.
  • Help create and Maintain an organized library of raw media, projects, and final masters.
  • Assist in curating a music library to be used in the produced content that aligns with the brand ethos.
  • Brainstorm content ideas that align with the brand's image and philosophy.
  • Occasionally travel to support live events / editorials with quick turn edited content.
  • Stay consistently up-to-date on creative trends, best practices, and editing techniques.
  • Edit and produce a high volume of timely, short-form videos.
  • Use graphics-based interstitial formats using After Effects for creating unique content.
  • Manage production calendars and balance deadlines across multiple markets.
  • Maintain meticulous records of upcoming projects, videos in progress, and delivered projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new concepts and ideas.
  • Delegate well

Minimum Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must have a self-starter work ethic,
  • extraordinary attention to detail,
  • strong conceptual design and storytelling skills,
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced environment.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in video production is required, with a preference for those who have worked in the e-commerce or fashion industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud- After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator and Final Cut Pro is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large volumes of digital assets and overseeing asset management workflows and processes.
  • Proficiency in digital asset management systems, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge), Basic knowledge of Figma and other content management tools.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong project management skills with a keen ability to prioritize tasks in a high-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and organizational standards.
  • Excellent technical skills with a thorough understanding of digital asset specifications, metadata taxonomy, and file storage systems.
  • An analytical and process-oriented mindset capable of developing and executing a metadata tagging methodology and organizing digital files logically for easy access and efficiency.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • A deep understanding and passion for technology, with the agility to adapt to new tools and processes that enhance asset management efficiency.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of partnership and collaboration, driving projects to completion while managing multiple priorities.
  • This position requires a mix of strategic planning, technical proficiency, and collaborative teamwork to manage Tuckernuck's library of digital assets effectively, supporting the company's sales goals and brand initiatives.
