Role Summary

As a Virtual Design Construction Specialist, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of JE Dunn's processes and tools while bringing value to our projects. This entry-level position will involve supporting VDC processes and workflows by assisting with model creation, coordination, and documentation. You will work collaboratively with diverse teams to drive our projects toward success.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and managing models and documents as per project requirements.
• Collaborate with the project team to assemble 3D content and develop additional modeling as needed.
• Learn and implement efficient BIM processes.
• Maintain clear project documentation, including meeting agendas and minutes.
• Support operational queries through the RFI process for BIM-related inquiries.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and project teams.
• Comprehend and apply construction documents and project BIM requirements.
• Incorporate design updates into project models.
• Review construction documents and models, identifying errors and making necessary corrections.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver timely, accurate work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to establish project-specific VDC technologies.
• Understanding of construction documents and specifications.
• A collaborative mindset for team interaction across various departments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to BIM technology solutions, including:
• Autodesk BIM 360 Glue
• Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Autodesk Design Collaboration
• Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, MEP)
• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Autodesk Navisworks Manage
• Trimble's Sketch-Up
• Bluebeam

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 0-2 years of experience in construction or relevant internships (preferred).

Working Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Normal office environment; exposure to various weather conditions may occur.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, as necessary.
• Frequent activities include sitting and viewing computer screens.
• Occasional activities include standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
