Design, maintain, and troubleshoot core network voice and data services, including but not limited to Class 4 / 5 telephony switches, Session Border Controllers, and VoIP / IP telephony systems.
Translate complex business requirements and align the appropriate solution to support business needs.
Research, design, and implement cloud-ready products for an international customer base.
Maintain and support the voice network to ensure reliable call routing for all platforms.
Coordinate with staff outside of the technology group and act as the highest level of escalation for support and solution architects.
Support a highly available, geographically diverse environment, including maintaining necessary processes and communications.
Maintain quality and throughput metrics for data and voice delivery to their ultimate destinations.
Stay updated with industry knowledge relative to network and IP telephony technologies, products, and vendors.
Communicate professionally with both internal teams and customers.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements Of the Position
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the telecom services industry, specifically in a Voice Network Engineer role or similar.
Proficient in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
Familiarity with network switches, with the ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot as required.
Experience working with Session Border Controllers (SBCs) in a detail oriented setting.
Strong skills and background in voice network design, implementation, and maintenance.
