Description
The Department of Music at Simpson College seeks an accomplished teacher of voice to teach studio voice, Diction, Vocal Pedagogy, and other duties as assigned and commensurate with the candidate's experience, to start August 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher who is fully engaged in the field, demonstrably knowledgeable in vocal pedagogy, diction, literature, and performance, and who will contribute to the department's offerings in solo, choral, and staged performances for undergraduates. If qualified, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to teach vocal pedagogy and diction coursework in the Master of Music in Choral Conducting program.
The Simpson College Department of Music has had full accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music since 1946. Its program has a long tradition of excellence and production quality, with many graduates performing and teaching professionally. It confers the Bachelor of Music degree in Performance and Music Education and the Bachelor of Arts in Music.

Qualifications
Qualifications :
- Doctorate in voice and / or commensurate professional experience (ABD considered)
- Demonstrated success as a teacher of voice at the college level
- Willingness to teach students of all majors in classical and musical theatre styles
- Ability to teach vocal pedagogy and diction courses (prior experience preferred)
- Willingness to collaborate with faculty and staff on behalf of the department and college
- Ability to assist the department in recruiting undergraduate students, especially vocalists
