SCOPE OF POSITION :
The Volunteer Coordinator will develop, implement, and supervise an active volunteer program within the Southwest Division, which covers Southern Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Four years of relatable experience may substitute for a degree
- Some leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook required.
- Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training. Must be courteous and respectful toward co-workers, volunteers, donors, et. al.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, with the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds & circumstances
- Able to maintain a non-judgmental attitude, professional approach, and boundaries with volunteers
- Must be congenial and able to work well with individuals under challenging circumstances.
- Ability to take, learn, & teach PTM policies and protocols.
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Secure & maintain a driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to pass The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety eLearning module.
- Knowledge of Golden Volunteer Software a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
