The VP, Software Engineering will lead engineers to develop and manage applications for the mortgage industry, optimizing efficiency and quality in an Agile environment. This role shapes our future and market success.  Reporting to the SVP, you'll work with Xpanse leadership to drive modernization and transformation. Responsibilities include leading and supporting multiple development teams, set strategic roadmaps and overseeing an Engineering transformation program. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and managing multiple high-performing software engineering teams, foster innovation across teams, and driving efficiency in Agile. Mortgage industry experience and strategic focus are desirable.

Drive research and development efforts to push the boundaries of mortgage automation.

Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS.

Provide guidance on best practices and make informed decisions on scalable architectures.

Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience with Java / full stack technologies including spring boot, React.js, Angular.js etc.

Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience with container technologies such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes etc.

Strong technical acumen with hands-on experience working with SQL and no-SQL databases.

Deep knowledge of automation technologies, AI, machine learning, and data analytics.

Work closely with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners.

Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings.

Champion user-centric design principles to create intuitive user experiences.

Manage the IT engineering budget effectively.

Make informed resource allocation decisions.

Design and implementation of CI / CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

Proficiency with tools like SonarQube, JoCoCo, Jenkins, GitHub, Digital.AI, or similar.

Experience with unit testing and test automation in a complex technology environment.

Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Jasmine, and Karma

Strong expertise in automating API testing to ensure robust and reliable services.

Ability to create and manage automated API test suites.

Knowledge of testing strategies for microservices architecture.

Understanding of challenges and best practices in testing microservices.

In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.

Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage software development processes.

Design and implementation of CI / CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

Proficiency with tools like SonarQube, JoCoCo, Jenkins, GitHub, Digital.AI, or similar.

This position has direct reports. Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications :

Strong knowledge of Apple endpoint management tools, security protocols, and best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with project management and endpoint lifecycle management.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex endpoint issues.

Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Apple Certified Technician, etc.) are advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 7 years of experience in a related field

Proven experience in IT endpoint management, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
