Vice President of Equipment Compliance
The Vice President of Equipment Compliance is a leadership position at USA Pickleball responsible for overseeing all aspects of equipment compliance, ensuring all regulatory standards remain in place. Serving as the authoritative figure on all product testing and compliance matters, reporting to the Chief Technical Officer.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of the compliance program, evaluate all current paddle and ball test protocols. Establish regular, ongoing product testing designed to ensure that all approved equipment (paddles and balls) is being manufactured, sold, and played within USAP and testing facility allowances that are recommended for standard compliance / follow up testing.
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the sport, monitor, and address known equipment testing inconsistencies and deficiencies. Finalize and implement effective changes designed to eliminate any issues and provide new, qualitative tests and protocols that create acceptable thresholds while establishing a fair and level playing field for all manufacturers.
- Provide direction and support to the Equipment and Evaluation Committee (EEC), testing facility partnering lab and support staff including :
oServe as a member of the EEC, including oversight of timelines specific to the test application process, payments, product archives, website content, testing videos, results forms, and customer service matters.
oAddress issues, questions, and complaints referred by the support staff.
oWork with EEC, compliance contractors, staff, and testing facility partner to address compliance matters.
oCommunicating regularly with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technical Officer, and Chief Competition Officer to maintain constant and open line of dialog to ensure that equipment standards, testing protocols and issues involving equipment and rules are discussed openly and directly before changes are made.
